Hello everyone … Alessio Hangare here again…
Today I would like to share with you all how airport employees treat our luggage.
I’m sometimes surprised by how violently luggage is treated. Preserving expensive luggage, particularly with valuable musical instruments inside, should be a priority! These are not trash bags!
Some airline tickets are cheaper than in the past. Cutting costs and maximizing profits has likely lead to some of this negligence while also affecting safety, customer service and maintenance.
I have several friends around the world with expensive suitcases and travel luggage, however rarely is their luggage strong enough to protect both the luggage and what is inside after many uses.
Here are some videos that exemplify the problem.
This issue upsets me because I am a Bag and Hardcase Producer and it makes my job much more difficult. I work all day and put my best efforts into creating the most durable bag so that it can handle the abuse of going through an airport and being loaded into a plane by employees that do not care about it.
Here are some crash tests of my HcT products….
Many people ask me why i make theatrical and scary crash test videos. As you can see from the airport videos, I crash test my products because this is the best way to see how safe my Hardcases and bags are under such abusive conditions.
Although luggage is abused world wide by airports and airline companies, purchasing an additional seat for your instrument is not the only option for safely traveling with your instruments. With a Hard Case or Armored Bag, you can feel much more safe and trusting that your musical instrument will arrive at your destination unharmed.
I hope to help many travelers in the future! And… No worry …. Be Hct
