Hello everyone and sorry if lately are not very present with blogs review but many of you will understand why … 😀

Today I wanted to speak about a new Italian maker… is called Matteo and produce Pan in Lombardy.
He’s a fresh arrived on the handpan scene but with decent quality and good price handpan.

The scale tried was Hamal – F# minor (F#) B C# D F# G# A B C# AHHH i love this scale…

However during play it I noticed that it was a bit closed on sustain but I am comforted by the fact that it had been glued a few days before and was not yet ready to 100%

However it’s to enjoyable to play and very reactive Pan, the harmonics are good and are well balanced even if the ding activates too the note… to my personal taste not like so much and i prefer a pan more controlled, however as a whole is well balanced and there are no notes too higher than others.

Even if was recently glued the sustain it’s interesting .. sure from a few month will be on another planet. 😉
As far as the cleaning of the notes a bit of work still to do and certainly also from the video feels a bit of crossover, but we know are requires experience… Matteo is really a fresh maker that realizes Handpan from just 10 months…. Incredible work Matteo..

He currently works by spinning moulding and hand shaping. The shell are nitrated but i have no further information about this.

The official prices are from 1250-1350€ .. I like it to much..… good price for this handpan and it’s excellent quality-price ratio.
